Review : Beta Brainwavz M2

Sometime back I had reviewed a entry level IEM called Beta Brainwavz Pro from Mp4 nation's in-house brand Brainwavz.Recently MP4 came up with a new mid-segment IEM called the Brainwavz M2 .Unlike the Betas the M2 are targeted more towards the mid-segment buyers ,with a price tag of ~69$. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to review the M2s before the launch and I was really surprised with the sound these IEMs could produce out of the box without much burn-in.

SE Xperia X10 Now Available In India

SE Xperia which was codenamed as the Shakira , is now available in India. The Android powered smartphone is priced at Rs. 13,900 in India. The Xperia X8 looks like the X10 mini but it has a larger 3″ capacitive scratch resistant touchscreen. The smartphone runs Android 1.6 on a 600Mhz processor. The battery is 1200mAh. The phone comes with integrated Timescape and allows has 128MB of RAM. The memory card slot supports memory cards upto 16GB in size.

T Mobile G2 Facing Hardware Problems

T-Mobile G2 , the latest Android based smartphone on the T-Mobile network is reportedly affected with severe hardware issues. The successor to the highly popular G1 supposedly has a loose hinge problem which causes the slider to dislocate when held at a particular angle. The problem is particularly noticeable when the device is held upside down which causes the screen to hang down. The problem can evidently be fixed by tightening the springs.

Droid Bionic Comes To Verizon

Motorola has been on a roll lately showing off several new devices at the Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas. One of the more interesting devices to be unveiled was the Motorola Droid Bionic. It is powered by the new Tegra 2 processor delivering a dual core 1Ghz processor which is capable of performance figures of upto 1Ghz on each of the cores.

The Droid Bionic brings support for the latest 4G network technology by Verizon. The internal RAM on the phone is 512 MB which is enough for the Android 2.3 powered smartphone to operate smoothly. The Droid Bionic can easily play back Flash 10.1 content and even HTML 5 video in the browser. The Droid Bionic comes with a front facing VGA camera which lets users video chat with their friends over 4G and WIFI. There is a rear facing 8MP camera which can capture HD 720p video. The Droid Bionic also comes with a 4.3" qHD screen which lets you watch HD content right there on your screen. Not only that , you can also playback 1080p video content via HDMI on your LCD screen. The Droid Bionic will soon be available on the Verizon network.

Microsoft Kin Phones Making A Comeback On Verizon

Microsoft's line of featurephones called Kin One and Kin Two seem to be making a comeback on the Verizon network. This time around the Microsoft phones seem to have added 'm' to the names. The Kin ONEm has been priced at just under $20 on a two year contract while the Kin TWOm is about $50. The basic voice plans are $39.99 along with a $35 activation charge. As the phone come with a Zuna Pass , it is a fairly good deal.

Motorola Droid R2-D2 Edition Launching Today !

Verizon Wireless is celebrating the launch of its new Droid 2 device by launching a special R2-D2 edition to cash in on the popularity of the Star Wars franchise.  It will have a large touchscreen and sliding keyboard. This special edition will reportedly have a 1.2 GHz processor, not the 1 GHz chip that's on the regular one.Those who are interested in this Star Wars-themed smartphone should be aware that supplies are limited. Each Verizon store will be getting just 200 units.
