Just yesterday we had reported on how Nokia has set up its own servers in India to assist the government in tracking email activity. However it seems that RIM , the manufacturer of the largest enterprise grade push mail enabled Blackberry devices , does not plan to give in to the demands of the Indian government. The Indian government is still trying to work with RIM to create a method which would allow them to intercept and analyze any Blackberry Messenger or enterprise email traffic.
RIM has maintained throughout the dispute over access with India and some other countries that it does not possess a "master key" nor does any "back door" exist in the system that would allow RIM or any third party to gain access to encrypted corporate information on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES).RIM India's chairman has so far declined to comment on the matter and is repeating old statements wherein he promises full cooperation with the goverment.
