Even though the iOS 4.2 update has just hit iPads across the world , the next update 4.3 is already being prepared for a December launch. Spurring these rumors is the upcoming iPad only newspaper by News Corp. , The Daily. The high profile launch is expected to come with a media event wherein top media executives will join Steve Jobs on stage to announce the new subscription model application. The update however does not mean that Apple will be getting into the newspaper subscription business, infact Apple is launching a new API. The API would facilitate server-side subscription services. This recurring purchase model would be beneficial to several applications with the newspaper and magazine applications being the first to get access to the new API. The update is expected to arrive on December 13th and will also include code cleanup. Airplay issues will be fixed in the upcoming release. Further reason to believe the upcoming subscription model services is the fact that Apple has been building a new data center in California.
