Apple , the manufacturer of the world famous iPhone , recently held a press conference at its campus to issue a statement regarding the infamous signal issues. Dubbed "Antennagate" , the controversy revolves around holding the device in the left hand makes it lose its signal. The issue can be alleviated by using a case/bumper.
Apple had targeted several manufacturers including Samsung to show that devices by other manufacturers have the same problem as well.

To respond to this , Samsung claims that their devices face no issues at all. All their cellphone models undergo rigorous field testing to ensure that the device never faces any signal issues.

The antenna is located at the bottom of the Omnia 2 phone, while iPhone’s antenna is on the lower left side of the device. Our design keeps the distance between a hand and an antenna. We have fully conducted field tests before the rollout of smartphones. Reception problems have not happened so far, and there is no room for such problems to happen in the future.”

Hwan Kim, vice-president of mobile communications has issued a new statement toReuters which says, “we have not received significant customer feedback on any signal reduction issue for the Omnia II. Based on years of experience of designing high quality phones, Samsung mobile phones employ an internal antenna design technology that optimizes reception quality for any type of hand-grip use.”
