Motorola has just announced the availability of five new entry level devices under its MotoYuva brand of devices aimed at the college going crowd. The  devices have been priced in the range of Rs. 1490 and Rs. 2890.

The new phone models launched include the WX181, WX260, WX265, WX290 and the WX295. All these phones come with similar features with a few exceptions here and there. The most basic of the devices is the W181. It has a 1.5-inch color display capable of 128x128 resolution. It comes with an FM radio and has a mini USB port. There is, however, no memory card slot on this one leaving you with limited memory.

Next in line is that WX260. It comes with a 1.8-inch, 128x160 pixels display. It supports GPRS Class 10 and at just 83 g, it's quite lightweight too. It also supports memory expansion using MicroSD cards and can take cards of up to 2GB. There is a 750 mAh Lithium battery inside the device that can power it for 420-620 hours of standby time. There is an FM radio thrown in as well.

Next we have the WX265 which happens to be a clam-shell device with similar features as that on the WX290. It supports MicroSD, up to 2GB and has Bluetooth as well.

Slightly higher up the price range are the MOTOYUVA WX290 and the WX295. These two devices too are similar in terms of features but differ in form factor. The WX290 is a candy-bar, while the W295 adopts the clam-shell form factor. These too, like the earlier models feature a 65k TFT, 1.8-inch display capable of 128x160 pixels. There is a VGA camera on the WX290. Both the devices support MicroSD cards up to 2GB.

As mentioned earlier, these devices will retail for low prices with the most expensive device to cost not more than Rs. 2,890.
