Review : Beta Brainwavz M2

Sometime back I had reviewed a entry level IEM called Beta Brainwavz Pro from Mp4 nation's in-house brand Brainwavz.Recently MP4 came up with a new mid-segment IEM called the Brainwavz M2 .Unlike the Betas the M2 are targeted more towards the mid-segment buyers ,with a price tag of ~69$. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to review the M2s before the launch and I was really surprised with the sound these IEMs could produce out of the box without much burn-in.

Quad Core Tegra Processors Next Year ?

Posted On 9:24 AM by Dhruv 0 comments

Just when the 1Ghz processor's were becoming common and people were beginning to look at the forthcoming dual core Tegra processors comes the news that Nvidia is working on developing Quad Core processors for the Android platform. Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang recently said that the development behind Tegra 3 is almost done and work on the 4th generation processors has already begun. He went as far as to say that very soon there will be a new Tegra processor every year which will increase the performance level of cellphones beyond their current limits.

As Tegra 2 processors are already running on a Dual Core architecture , it is not hard to imagine that the 3rd or at max 4th generation product will be based on the Quad Core architecture. So if you were worried about missing out on the first wave of high powered Tegra devices , you can wait for the generation of devices based on even more powerful processors next year.

[Updated ] : PSP Phone Launching December 9th?

Posted On 10:00 AM by Dhruv 0 comments

The Sony Ericsson PSP Phone has been rumored since when the PSP originally came out and it does make sense in today's market seeing that Apple is dominating the portable gaming market. Recent leaks of the phone in prototype stage show a sleek touchscreen enabled device with a slide down traditional gaming layout keyboard. The design is very similar to that of the PSP  Go.

A leaked invitation slide from Sony France shows a press invite with the traditional Sony gaming symbols printed on it and a date of December 9th. We can hope that the Sony PSP phone does get announced on the date. Coincidently this is right after the Android 2.3 announcement date on December 6th.

Update : Some more information about the phone states that the Android 2.3 based device might not be branded as a Playstation phone per se. It might be under the Xperia banner and would come with a Bravia branded display which is supposed to be close to the Retina Display in image quality.
